Race And America by Michelle Higgins and Greg Thompson

The #blacklivesmatter movement receives mixed reception in culture and especially among Evangelical Christians. While some contend “all lives matter,” others recognize the special focus needed on to the continued struggle of being black in America. Michelle Higgins is an organizer and speaker who is on the front lines of the movement, participating in civil disobedience, leadership development, logistics, and support in both sacred and secular spaces. She’ll discuss how faith motivates her work and what Christians can learn from the African-American struggle for dignity and equal treatment under the law.
