In the United States, access to educational opportunities remains a key indicator of racial inequality. Recognizing this, in 1996 Paige Pitts founded New Hope Academy, a Christian school in Franklin, Tennessee that would be both ethnically and socioeconomically diverse. In this interview with David Bailey, Paige shares the story of how she first felt called to do this, why it is so important to her, and what she’s learned over more than 20 years in this work. In doing so, she inspires us to create hopeful, restorative and intentional solutions to the problems we see around us.
