Perhaps the only challenge greater than launching a startup company is beating the statistics associated with doing so. In today’s economy, three out of four startup ventures fail, yet Harvard Business School reports that 68% of entrepreneurs think the chances of their business succeeding are better than others in their sector. Jessica later went on to found BabbaCo (now owned by Barefoot Books) in 2008, but this time from her kitchen table as a new mom. Her talk will inspire us to hold onto hope against all odds because the risk just might pay off.
